Haaretz: Israeli soldiers razed 293 Palestinian structures since January

Israeli newspaper Haaretz said that Israeli civil administration had intensified the pace of demolition of Palestinians’ homes constructed in West Bank territories classified as Area C without building permissions since the beginning of 2016

AhlulBayt News Agency - Israeli newspaper Haaretz said that Israeli civil administration had intensified the pace of demolition of Palestinians’ homes constructed in West Bank territories classified as Area C without building permissions since the beginning of 2016.

Radio Israel quoted the newspaper’s Friday issue as stating that 293 structures were razed over the past six weeks. While, 447 structures were knocked down over the year of 2015.

The newspaper said the intensified demolition of houses is the result of pressures being practiced by the settlement committee of the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs on the civil administration.

Israeli civil administration endorsed only 1.5% of the applications for construction permissions in Area C, the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance and Development Aid for the occupied Palestinian territory said.
